Position Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO), formally the Treasurer, of PSK Alpha Epsilon is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial strategies, operations, and fiscal health of the organization. The CFO will collaborate closely with the CEO, senior management team, and staff to ensure sound financial management and the long-term sustainability of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Strategy:
    • Develop and communicate the organization’s financial strategy and vision, aligned with its mission and goals.
    • Ensure that financial strategies support long-term sustainability and growth.
  2. Budgeting and Financial Planning:
    • Lead the budgeting process, financial planning, and forecasting, in coordination with program and department heads.
    • Monitor budgets, track financial performance, and provide regular reports to the senior management team and board of directors.
  3. Financial Management:
    • Oversee all financial functions, including accounting, financial reporting, treasury, and risk management.
    • Maintain an efficient and transparent financial management system.
  4. Resource Allocation:
    • Ensure optimal resource allocation to support programmatic and operational goals.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and financial efficiencies.
  5. Financial Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all financial and accounting regulations, including tax laws and financial reporting requirements.
    • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures.
  6. Investment and Asset Management:
    • Oversee investment and asset management activities to maximize returns and support the organization’s financial sustainability.
  7. Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to the CEO, senior management, and the board of directors.
    • Interpret financial data to inform strategic decision-making.
  8. Audits and Risk Management:
    • Manage financial audits and assessments.
    • Develop and implement risk management strategies to safeguard the organization’s financial health.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably within a nonprofit, leadership development organization, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, financial planning, and investment management.
    • Or a strong and proven willingness to learn the above at a fast pace.
  • Exceptional financial analysis and strategic planning skills.
  • Demonstrated success in team leadership and performance management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to the organization’s mission and values.
  • Pursuing a undergraduate degree at ESU, accounting/economics major and leadership/communications minor preferred.
