Position Summary:
The CEO, formally the President, of PSK Alpha Epsilon is the visionary leader responsible for shaping the organization’s strategic direction, ensuring its financial sustainability, and overseeing all aspects of its operations. The CEO will work closely with the board of directors, senior leadership team, and staff to execute the think tank’s mission and drive its impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategic plan that aligns with the organization’s mission and long-term goals.
    • Provide leadership to the organization by identifying emerging trends, issues, and opportunities in the field of leadership development.
  2. Organizational Management:
    • Oversee all aspects of the organization’s operations, including program development, coaching, marketing, and administrative functions.
    • Manage a diverse team of professionals and build a collaborative and inclusive work culture.
  3. Financial Stewardship:
    • Ensure the financial sustainability of the organization by developing and implementing sound financial management practices, including budgeting, fundraising, and resource allocation.
  4. Program Development and Quality Assurance:
    • Lead the development and enhancement of leadership development programs and resources.
    • Ensure the delivery of high-quality coaching services and leadership training.
  5. Fundraising and Resource Development:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners.
    • Lead efforts to secure funding and support for the organization’s research initiatives and operations.
  6. Research and Policy Development:
    • Foster a culture of excellence in research, policy analysis, and thought leadership.
    • Collaborate with research teams to ensure the production of high-quality, influential research and policy recommendations.
  7. External Engagement:
    • Serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for the think tank, representing it in public forums, media, and policy discussions.
    • Engage with government officials, academia, civil society, and other stakeholders to advance the organization’s mission.
  8. Board Relations:
    • Work closely with the board of directors to provide regular updates, seek guidance, and implement board decisions.
    • Facilitate board meetings and ensure compliance with governance and legal requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven executive leadership experience in a leadership, think tank, research organization, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of leadership principles, coaching, and organizational development.
  • Experience and relative success in fundraising, resource development, and financial management.
  • Exceptional communication and public-speaking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
  • A commitment to the organization’s mission and values.
  • Pursuing a undergraduate degree at ESU, leadership/communications minor preferred.
